Great Meadow Road, Concord

Great MeadowAs a project manager while working for another builder I was the site supervisor & lead carpenter for the construction of this custom home. It was built along the bank of the Concord River presenting very unique challenges. Since the basement was below the water table, the foundation was placed in a membrane envelope to guard against a fluctuating water table. This house has an abundance of architectural features including wrap around porch with conical roof, a home theater, a library and a lot of custom built in cabinets & custom millwork. But the three story open staircase was one of the most noticeable and unique because it has the appearance of being a series of boxes seemingly unsupported and flowing from the basement to the 2nd floor uninterrupted.
